An Interview with Jim Katz


We conducted an interview with the the Department of Administration and Finance for The City of Jacksonville. Specifically with the Technology Strategy & Communications Team of the ITD (Information Technology Division).

The Information Technology Division is an overall IT Division for the City of Jacksonville. It is involved in the management of many IT functions, as you will learn here.

Look over the chart below before you listen to our radio interview.

The chart is divided into basically three parts. The inner yellow circle area is subdivided in two on the left is the functions of the City IT (information technology) department that essentially serves the inner workings of city services. On the right side are those services that go out to the public. Surrounding the inner circle is a red circular section that encompasses security issues for the entire set of operations.

There is no way we could have discussed all these varied areas in a half hour interview but the coj.net has a great web site that you can use.
