Selections in graphic programs

In the three graphic programs we review there are basic selection methods and advanced ones. Here on this page are the basic tools shown to get you started.

As in the Photoshop layers page we made to show basic layers technique the methods are just different enough to be confusing. But they are just similar enough to be used with a majority of other graphics programs as well. (See Gimp layers)..(see Fireworks layers)

Learn these basic methods and you can go a long way toward really understanding selections. We will do more advanced selection methods soon.
