Media Player Ripping MP3 filesInsert your audio cd into your drive. Open Windows Media Player. It should look like the photo below.
Check your copy cd options in the Tools Menu/Options.
Examine the copy Music settings to be sure MP3Encoding is available.Also check to see where the default save location is.Finaly check to see what the Audio Quality setting is.
In the older Media Player 9 the Rip MP3 thing is shown as it is under the View/ Go to/Copy from CD.
In Media Player 11 it is show in the tab structure across the top as Rip.
Note that you can check and uncheck which files to copy/rip and not have to select the entire cd.
When a track is complete it is show as it is below "copied to library".
It is a good practice to check the file by going to its location and playing it as we show below.
