What is my IP Address

In order to use Netmeeting and a few other programs it is necessary to know what you IP (internet Protocol) address is. There can be changeable IP addresses and Static Permanent ones. Dial up Internet users usually have dynamic or changing address so each time it is likely to look different.

To see this on you computer while online go to the Start Menu and select Run and type in the cmd command and press enter. As shown below...

After you press OK the command line window will open. In this Window type the command ipconfig /all and press enter.

When you do this your computer will return your ip addresses and other in formation..

The ip address in this case was 12.78.55.48. It was the fourth from the bottom.

With this information you can do Netmeeting without a ILS server or a setup through Messenger or other third party middle ware.
